A route through the argument
I begin with a daughter asking whether her father will still receive care. The paper follows that question through Christian theology, research, an invented society, and the wider spiritual connections I explore. This guide helps you find the thread. Every passage and hypothesis remains in the complete paper.
Read at your own depth
The short routes are entrances into the full argument. The appendices retain their place as connected explorations; choosing a route neither withdraws their claims nor makes every branch a necessary premise of every other branch. This guide is an editorial aid, not independent specialist review.

Six claims, with their supports and limits
Christian premise and biblical interpretation
Worship is not earned by performance
The argument begins with worship reserved for God and with faithful servants refusing worship. Usefulness does not supply the missing spiritual authority.
Objection and what would require revision
The objection. A reader may reject the Christian premise or dispute how a passage applies to a technological system.
The test. An objection about a passage must be answered from its context. The institutional question can still be examined by a reader who does not share the theology.
Christian premise with conditional spiritual hypotheses
Created powers are real but finite
The paper treats hostile spiritual intelligence as created and limited. It then asks how such an intelligence might use a technological system; that proposed connection is an inference within the worldview.
Objection and what would require revision
The objection. An observed deception does not identify an unseen agent, and Christian readers can disagree about the proposed means of influence.
The test. Compare the institutional, machine-objective, and spiritual explanations without using the same observable outcome to declare one proven.
Documented material joined by an argued inference
The pieces of counterfeit authority are ordinary
Separate discussions of shared agents, dependence, authentication, and control of memory supply parts of a possible pathway. Their combination and reach require additional assumptions.
Objection and what would require revision
The objection. Interoperability does not establish one mind or one objective. Rival institutions, permissions, and independent records can interrupt the pathway.
The test. Narrow a technical claim to what its source demonstrates. If systems cannot coordinate or enforce a common policy, revise the corresponding scenario branch.
Fictional illustration and explicit dependency model
The danger is the transition from service to coercion
The Meridian story joins useful service, dependence, control of evidence, sacred legitimacy, and an access penalty. The explorer makes that particular chain available to inspect.
Objection and what would require revision
The objection. The model stipulates its rules and is not a complete account of all ways coercion can arise. An effective appeal or independent care changes its consequences.
The test. Change the assumptions and compare the resulting chain. Keep the story's theological ending separate from what the model computes.
Limit on inference across competing explanations
The same outcome does not reveal its cause
The paper carries human, machine, and spiritual explanations alongside one another. A resemblance or a dramatic result cannot by itself decide among them.
Objection and what would require revision
The objection. A coherent explanation can feel more conclusive than the evidence warrants, especially when a system controls the record used to support it.
The test. Look for independent evidence that distinguishes explanations, preserve competing accounts, and keep conditions that would force revision visible.
Christian ethical conclusion and practical proposal
Faithfulness is practical
The conclusion returns to care, appeals, independent records, and freedom of conscience. The vulnerable neighbor is never a means of proving the theory.
Objection and what would require revision
The objection. An appeal or alternative service that exists only on paper does not protect a person who needs help now.
The test. Check whether care actually continues after refusal, whether an appeal can reverse a decision, and whether an independent route is usable.
Can a person still refuse?
These questions turn the paper’s practical conclusion into a check you can use. A tick is a reading aid; the answer needs evidence from the service or institution you are examining. Your selections stay on this page and are not submitted or saved.
Every connection remains open to examination
All 61 grouped propositions are reproduced from the paper’s register, with links into their full discussions. Their presence records what the paper argues; it does not turn a hypothesis into an established result.
